The late Paul Walker was a father of one. However, the doting parent did not get to fully live with his child until she had become a teenager, as she lived with her mother most of her young life.

Paul welcomed his only beloved daughter, Meadow Walker, with Rebecca Soteros on November 4, 1998. Meadow grew up in Hawaii, where her mother was based full-time, while her father lived in California.

She only moved to the mainland to be fully with him as a teenager. In an August 2018 interview, Paul's younger brother Cody Walker shared how things changed for him after having his daughter around during that time, saying the star was torn between work and his child whom he was elated to have around, adding:

"[...] He had just signed on to a major three-movie deal to a whole other franchise and wanted to immediately pull himself out of it, but it was too late."

Cody further revealed that his big brother often stressed that he only had five to four more years with Meadow until she graduated from high school. When asked what the "Fast & Furious" star's life was like during his last year, the actor divulged:

"It was hectic. [...] He was trying to figure out how to navigate being a dad."

In a March 2013 interview, Paul spoke candidly about having his child around after being away from her for several years, saying his "heart was desperate" for the situation to change eventually.

When Meadow was based on a tropical island, he visited her there. The doting parent gushed about living with his daughter after so many years apart, saying:

"My daughter lives with me full time now and she’s the best partner I’ve ever had. It's so nuts. I've never had anything like this in my life."

Paul explained that he had been moving around often before having Meadow live with him. He had been on his own since he was 16 years old and did not have a place to call home until he was 32. "I literally lived out of bags for 16-plus years," he divulged.

Cody revealed his sibling told him hours before his untimely death that he planned on retiring his mother so she could care for Meadow full-time. He expressed his wish for his daughter to attend the same high school as Cody went to. On that very fateful day, Paul called his other younger brother, Caleb Walker, who admitted, "I'm very, very thankful I answered that phone call."

Paul Died in a Car Crash

Cody disclosed that Paul told him about his plans over a phone call when he was going to a toy drive. Sadly, it was the same day he tragically died in a car accident on November 30, 2013.

The coroner's report revealed the vehicle he was in crashed at a speed of more than 100mph and exploded. Paul, his financial adviser and friend Roger Rodas were found dead in the burnt-out Porsche Carrera GT in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood star reportedly succumbed to traumatic and thermal injuries, while Rodas died of multiple traumatic injuries. There were no drugs or alcohol detected in their system.

According to an investigator for the LA coroner, Kristy McCracken, the car the duo was traveling in was driving beyond the speed limit in an easterly direction. She explained that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which "partially spun around and began to travel in a south-easterly direction."

The vehicle struck a sidewalk, and the driver's side hit a tree and a light spot. The car spun up to 180 degrees and continued to travel easterly. After the passenger's side struck a tree, it caught on fire.

According to the coroner, the vehicle was severely damaged and "was almost split in half." However, the authorities revealed there seemed to be no foul play, and they could not decipher why the vehicle lost control.

Meadow Followed in Her Father's Footsteps & Keeps His Memory Alive

Meadow was only 15 years old when her father passed away, and at the time, he was still filming "Fast & Furious 7." Several years later, she made a cameo in the same franchise, appearing on "Fast X" in 2023.

At the movie premiere in May 2023, the actress shared she feels her late parent all around at times, especially when she finds herself in doubt. Meadow revealed she gets signs from her dad through numbers, adding that he liked numbers four and seven.

"[…] And I swear whenever I'm doubting anything or whenever I'm in an argument with someone or anything, I start seeing four and seven everywhere. So I always know that it's him," Meadow revealed.

The California native further divulged that the day before the red carpet event, she had a moment and then heard clock bells ringing, which was a sign that everything would be fine.

Meadow is now 24 years old and is married to Louis Thornton-Allan. The couple exchanged wedding vows on a beach in October 2021 in the Dominican Republic. Close friends and family attended the intimate ceremony, including her dad's co-stars Vin Diesel (who happens to be her godfather) and Jordana Brewster.

The young bride posted a black and white video from the wedding on Instagram, which showed her embracing Jordana and holding hands with Vin. She captioned the post, "We're married!!!!"

Aside from acting and modeling, Meadow, who was announced as the new face of Givenchy Beauty in February 2023, also keeps her father's memory alive. She is the founder and CEO of an organization in his name called The Paul Walker Foundation.

The website states that the foundation's mission is to "DO GOOD." Paul's legacy will live on forever through the organization, which offers scholarships and where people can donate to make a difference in people's lives or the environment.

In September 2018, the foundation, launched on the late movie star's birthday, posted a throwback photo of Paul and Meadow when she was younger on Instagram.

The caption read, "Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill."

Meadow, a Global Ambassador of Innoceana and Pencils of Promise, said she founded the organization because she wanted to share a piece of her dad with the rest of the world and a part of him with others.
