Julian Ozanne Is a Film Producer – Facts about Gillian Anderson's Ex-husband
Julian Ozanne is Gillian Anderson's ex-husband and a former journalist from Kenya. Additionally, he has contributed to the cinema world. He and the actress had a whirlwind romance that ended with a divorce after three years of marriage.
Gillian Anderson is an actress, producer, and director known for her starring roles in "The X-Files," "Bleak House," "The Last King of Scotland," "Tristram Shandy," and more. While she has a career spanning decades in front of the camera, her ex-husband worked his magic behind the cameras as a producer and director.
However, according to his professional profile, Julian Ozanne's career as a producer and director lasted five years. There is now very little information about him in recent years, except for his 2009 connection with an interior designer.

Who Is Julian Ozanne?
Born in Kenya in 1965, Ozanne joined the entertainment industry as a foreign correspondent and producer. He is known for the films "Here to Where," "This Is Not an Exit: The Fictional World of Bret Easton Ellis," and "Panorama."
It only took a few months before they became engaged, and on December 29, 2004, they tied the knot on Lamu's Shella island, off Kenya's Indian Ocean coast.
Ozanne also produced "Lara Croft: Lethal and Loaded" and "Giorgio Armani: A Man for All Seasons," which he directed. His last credit as a producer was in 2002. Besides being a behind the scenes of documentaries and films, Ozanne is a photojournalist.

Julian Ozanne and Gillian Anderson's Marriage
Ozanne met Anderson during a dinner party in 2002. Their mutual friend had organized the party, and the actress said, "He was sitting next to me. At the time, I wasn't drinking or smoking, no wheat or dairy or any of that kind of stuff, and he was a journalist living life to the full."
She initially found him unpleasant, but her perspective changed after they met severally in London. They slowly became friends who genuinely celebrated their single status, but with time, they became attracted to each other.
The duo soon became engaged, and on December 29, 2004, they tied the knot on Lamu's Shella island, off Kenya's Indian Ocean coast. The actress lived in London then, and her daughter from a previous marriage was at their wedding.

Unfortunately, their union was short-lived. In 2006, the award-winning actress separated from Ozanne and publicly announced their decision through their solicitor. The statement read:
"Gillian Anderson and her husband, Julian Ozanne, are saddened to announce that their marriage is at an end and they are in the process of separating. At this difficult time, they request that their privacy is respected. There will be no further comment."

Julian Ozanne Had No Kids with Gillian Anderson
Ozanne had no children with Anderson during their marriage. However, shortly after their divorce, the actress moved on and was dating businessman Mark Griffiths, and less than two years after her marriage ended, she became pregnant with her second child.
Meanwhile, three years later, Ozanne began enjoying the company of interior designer Kelly Hoppen. "Kelly seemed very taken with Julian. She was getting up close and quite personal," a source said of their relationship.
However, neither Ozanne nor Hoppen confirmed their connection. While caring for her kids, Anderson continues her show business career. She most recently starred in Netflix's "Sex Education" alongside Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, and Emma Mackey.
