Violet McGraw's Parents: Facts about Jackie & Colin McGraw

Violet McGraw had an early start in entertainment, and with her parents' support, she branched into acting. In addition to Violet McGraw, the couple supports the rest of their kids' endeavors in the film world.

Violet Elizabeth McGraw broke into the film and TV industry in the late 2010s, and the youngster has captured the world's attention with her talent. She always had a flair for performing, as her parents have attested.

She drew her first breath in San Jose, California, on April 22, 2011, born to Colin McGraw and Jackie McGraw. Her parents moved the family to Santa Clarita when she was four as she and her siblings committed more to being onscreen. However, unlike their kids, the couple is not in entertainment.

Little about Violet's mother's work background is known, but she currently works as a party stylist. Her father graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1995. Shortly after attaining his degree, he joined the army.

He served five years as a Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, and Battalion Personnel Officer at Ft. Hood, Texas. Upon his return in 2000, he began working as a Project Manager for Applied Materials.

Colin served various companies in the following years, but between 2018 and 2020, he was a self-employed Sales and Business Development Professional seeking telecommuting opportunities. He is currently a Financial Services Representative for The Strategy Partners, Inc.

Jackie and Colin McGraw's Role in Violet McGraw's Career

Violet started as a child model. She had a picture from a year old hanging in a mall in North California. "Someone asked if she was a model baby or [a] regular baby and left information for an agency," her mom recalled.

Eventually, the young actress, who also played soccer, lost interest in modeling, and her mother didn't want to pressure her into continuing. "So, I stopped sending her out on auditions. Like I'm not doing that, I'm not that mom," Jackie said.

Eventually, Violet got into acting and fell in love with the filmmaking process. However, her passion for the craft began showing when she was much younger. Jackie recalled how, even in pre-school, Violet would facilitate make-believe play, as she explained:

"If a kid broke the fourth wall, she'd say, 'We're hunting for treasure. Why do you want something else now when we haven't hunted all the treasure.'"

Jackie and Colin's eldest child is Jack McGraw, born December 7, 2006. He started acting in 2015, first appearing in a minor role in the comedy series, "Workaholics." He is also known for voicing young Arlo in "The Good Dinosaur," opposite Raymond Ochoa and Jeffrey Wright.

On December 22, 2008, Jackie and Colin had twins Madeleine and Aidan McGraw. Madeleine and Aidan are known for their early onscreen roles in 2014's "American Sniper," with Sienna Miller and Bradley Cooper. Madeleine played McKenna, and Aidan portrayed Young Colton.

Fans may also recognize Aidan's voice as Young Red in "The Angry Birds Movie" and Madeleine from the 2021 horror film "The Black Phone" with Ethan Hawke. As for Violet, the 12-year-old is set to reprise her role as Cady in "M3GAN 2.0" alongside Joshua Bassett.
