Stetson Bennett's Family: Facts about His Parents & Siblings
Stetson Bennett comes from a family that has thrived in sports and continues to do so. The NFL star is the first of five siblings born to multi-pharmacy owners who witnessed his athletic talent since he was a toddler.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett first picked up a football in his backyard when he was three. He was throwing it around with his dad, who stopped and asked him what he wanted to do with the football.
According to the Bennett patriarch, Stetson replied he wanted to play football at the University of Georgia, his parents' alma mater. He was born Stetson Bennett IV in late 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Stetson Bennett III and Denise Bennett.
The NFL star is the couple's first child and eldest son, raised alongside three more boys and a daughter. His siblings, one of whom is also playing football, all play sports of their choosing, and their parents are supportive.
Stetson Bennett's Family: His Father and Grandfather Were Also Quarterbacks
Stetson's paternal grandfather, Buddy Bennett, was a running quarterback at South Carolina between 1958 and 1960. He began coaching afterward with stints as a defensive backs coach in Tennessee and defensive coordinator in Arkansas.
Stetson's dad, Stetson III, briefly played quarterback at Georgia Southern University in 1989 before transferring to the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy where he graduated in 1996. He met his wife, Denise, while studying at pharmacy school.
The couple had Stetson while they worked as pharmacists for Publix, but are now the combined owners of seven pharmacies in Southern Georgia. Stetson III built an 80 yards-long football field next to one of the stores. He coached Stetson when he played for the rec team Brantley Bandits when he was 12.

He's studying at Brewster Academy, and although he guards his privacy, his mom revealed he competed in a rowing race in 2022. "So stinking proud of @MaverickBennet5 Brewster Academy Crew won all five races, and he was stroke seat in three!!! Go Mav!!! You are amazing," she wrote.
A Little about Stetson Bennet's Relationship with His Brothers and Sister
Stetson is like many star athletes whose siblings also play sports, including Scottie Pippen Jr. and Preston Pippen, both born to retired NBA legend Scottie Pippen. In contrast, others had parents who helped pave the way, including Sydney McLaughlin, Jordan Poole, and Erling Haaland.
Stetson seems to fit both categories and has positively impacted his siblings. In January 2022, ahead of the National Championship game while playing for UGA, he attributed much of his success to his family's support. His brother, Knox, lauded him for his leadership skills.
"He's a great leader, always helping someone, giving out compliments, and makes others shine before himself," he said. Knox and Luke also poked fun at Stetson's tendency to eat slowly. "He's the slowest eater in America [...]. He takes his time. He's going to enjoy his food," Luke noted.
In 2021, Olivia joked about her relationship with her brothers. "Least favorite brother award is becoming harder to figure out," she wrote alongside a family photo taken with her mom and brothers in Sanford Stadium.
