Leo from 'All My Children' Talks about Split from Ex-wife Who Cried over Their Divorce after 13 Years Together

Josh Duhamel, 50, is a well-known actor in Hollywood. He has built a respectable career in the entertainment industry, seeing him star in numerous television and film productions.

The talented actor debuted as Leo du Pres on television in the famous classic, "All My Children." Aside from his extensive career, Josh is also a doting father to a son, Axl Jack Duhamel, whom he shares with his ex-wife, legendary musician Fergie.

Fergie and the soap opera talent met on the "Las Vegas" set in 2004. At the time, Josh was acting in the show, and Fergie, still a part of the remarkably popular group The Black Eyed Peas, appeared in an episode with the band.

Shortly after their first encounter, they started dating, and after five years of dating, the former couple tied the knot at a Malibu vineyard in January 2009. They then went on to welcome Axl in August of 2013.

Sadly, the couple ended up getting a divorce after several years together. Nonetheless, Josh and Fergie agreed to keep their focus on Axl and were able to work out child support matters amicably. They decided to split the financial costs to raise their son equally.

In keeping with focusing on their son, Fergie decided to leave The Black Eyed Peas to fully devote herself to being there for Axl. Thus, the iconic music group reconfigured itself into a trio.

Despite her exit, she and the other band members still share good relationships, and previously, leader, Will.i.am, spoke about how he and the other members wish nothing but the best for the doting mom.

Regarding how the mama bear and her ex-husband have been dealing with co-parenting their son, they remain friendly and on the same page. According to doting dad Josh:

"We both have the same priority and that's raising a good son. We want him to be a good, kind, compassionate, hard-working, thoughtful young man and we both have that common goal with him...Thankfully, Fergie is an amazing woman..."

Recently, the actor sat down for an interview and discussed what led to his and Fergie's divorce. Though Josh said the former couple had great times together, he said they grew apart and developed different interests.

He elaborated on feeling a pullback to his home state of North Dakota, citing that he never felt comfortable with or had an affinity for Tinseltown's glitz and glam lifestyle as his ex-wife did. Of his divorce from his ex-wife, Josh asserted:

"...I think we both agree that we're very different people...I just missed the simplicity of who I really am. I'm just not a guy who is comfortable going to red carpets, doing all the Hollywood stuff..."

Years ago, while the topic of their divorce after an 8-year-long marriage came up with Wendy Williams, Fergie got emotional and teary-eyed while discussing her ex-husband. The singer admitted that getting a divorce was never a part of her plan. The iconic artist said she wanted to stay married to Josh indefinitely.

Although Fergie expressed regret and sadness that things did not work out between her and her ex, she still loves and remains supportive of him, even when he married his current wife, Audra Mari, last year. While speaking to a news outlet about his new relationship, Josh boasted about his compatibility with Audra, as they are both from North Dakota.

Josh and Audra are awaiting the birth of their first child together. As they shared the good news on social media, Fergie expressed her excitement in the comments, revealing that she and the actor's son could not wait to be a big brother.
