During her makeup walk-through, Grande touched on her relationship with beauty as a concept. Before proceeding to show viewers how she lines her lips with lipstick, the "7 Rings" singer revealed:

"Full transparency, as a beauty person — as I do my lips, had a ton of lip filler over the years and Botox. I stopped in 2018 cause I just felt so — too much. I just felt like hiding, you know?"

In the years that she used Botox and fillers, many called her out for looking significantly different than what she used to look before. From 2014 to 2018, some people shared a mix of throwback photos and compared them to more recent images of the singer, citing their inability to recognize her.

Grande is a huge advocate for people embracing and loving themselves no matter what that looks like.

Even though she confirmed that she stopped using Botox and lip filler, others continued to comment, some even until recently. Of two side-by-side photographs of Grande, one social media user expressed:

"...She's still eminently talented...Yet, JESUS...what did she do?... Unrecognizable from her prior look..."

Although some online users expressed concern about Grande looking barely recognizable, others chose to see a beauty trait that is unmistakable and have commented on her dimples. "Ariana Grande['s] dimples [are] the cutest," gushed one fan on Twitter.

Someone else simply penned, " Her dimple," while another tweeted "Ariana Grande & her dimple," alongside a snapshot of the Hollywood star removing her makeup.

Ariana Grande Previously Opened Up about Her Manchester Concert and Addressed the Public's Concern about Her Body

Though Grande clarified that she decided to stop getting Botox and fillers, she also said she may choose to do so again; her decision depends on whatever makes her feel beautiful.

Though she has spoken about beauty several times, the topic is not the only one she's opened up about. In a past 2018 interview, Grande shared a few words about the attack at her Manchester concert.

Just shy of a year after the tragic attack happened at the sold-out show of her "Dangerous Woman" tour, Grande sat down for an interview with a pop culture outlet. Although she did not go into detail about the devastating ordeal which claimed the lives of 22 and left 500 injured, Grande spoke about the severe anxiety the attack triggered:

"When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn't breathe...I've always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down."

In the wake of the traumatic event, she suspended her tour but in less than two weeks, Grande returned to the stage for her benefit concert which raised $13 million for those who were affected by the tragedy.

She remembered the encounter three years later in May 2020 on her social media, telling Manchester residents that not a day goes by without her thinking about the incident, while adding her thoughts and prayers are with them always.

Grande, who lost her former love rapper Mac Miller in September 2018 following an accidental overdose, was so affected that the scary event almost made her want to quit singing altogether.

However, her supportive mom, her overall love for her career, and the countless fans who would not let her give up saw her find the strength and courage to get back on stage.

Speaking of fans, while some uplifted and inspired the "Side to Side" artist, others expressed concern and opinions about Grande's body. In a video she uploaded to one of her social media accounts, Grande's general sentiment highlighted the importance of being careful with words used to compliment someone or state an opinion about their physicality.

She specifically referenced the comparisons some made regarding how her body used to look in the past with how it looks currently. While addressing the fact that there are multiple beauty standards, she mentioned that the praise she received for her former body was when she wasn't in the healthiest place in her life, both mentally and physically.

Her main takeaway was that one should always be careful when making any positive or negative comment about how someone looks, as they may be going through a challenging time.

In a September 2014 interview, Grande got candid about her traits, which her father, with whom she lost touch, passed down to her. "So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn't like that about myself," the Florida native admitted.

Grande is a huge advocate for people embracing and loving themselves no matter what that looks like and what beauty interventions they feel they need to take.
