Earlier this year, a message on behalf of Jeff Beck's family released the saddening news that he had passed away. "After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday," the tweet read in part.

In addition to revealing the heart-wrenching news that Beck had died, the tweet announcing his death ended with a request for the guitarist's family's privacy to be respected during the difficult time.
