Matthew Perry was a phenomenal actor known for his role as Chandler Bing on "Friends." The actor became more interested in acting when he moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15 to live with his dad.
During his acting career, he starred in several productions such as "The Odd Couple," "Boys Will Be Boys," "The Whole Nine Yards," and "Almost Heroes." Perry's sense of humor was so great that directors used his suggestions in shows.
On October 28, 2023, Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home. The actor, who was the youngest cast member of "Friends," died of an apparent drowning. He had come home in the morning after playing pickleball for one hour, which was a few hours before his death.

Perry then had his assistant run an errand for him. However, when he came back two hours later, he found the actor unresponsive and dialed 911. Law enforcement officers are conducting further investigations into Perry's death, but he was found dead in his jacuzzi with no drugs at the scene. Foul play has also been ruled out.
He said everything he saw at Perry's death scene was sad.

Perry used to play tennis and was very good at it. However, he later picked up pickleball, and as much as he didn't like the game's name, he loved the game. TV presenter Billy Bush spoke to Perry's regular partner when he played pickleball and shared the details on Instagram.

The partner said the actor played pickleball every day, sometimes twice a day, but on the day he died, he only played for one hour. Perry seemed fatigued on that day, and over the last week before his death, he had been more exhausted than usual. Still, the partner, who adored Perry, is in shock over his death.

Matt Manasse, celebrity pickleball coach who used to train Perry, has also spoken out. Manasse said he was contacted by the actor's friend to help teach him the game so as to aid in Perry's alcoholism recovery journey. The pickleball coach described Perry as a dedicated player and someone who always wanted to help others, especially those struggling with alcoholism.

Now, Perry is no more, but he will be remembered for his dedication to fighting alcoholism and his desire to help others on their sobriety journey. A neighbor who witnessed the events after Perry's death has also spoken out about what he saw.
Perry's Tragic Death Scene
Perry's last Instagram post was a picture of a jacuzzi that is presumed to be the one he died in. A teenage neighbor told The Sun that he and his younger siblings saw "too much" at the scene of Perry's death. The 17-year-old, his younger siblings, and some neighbors could see over the back fences to the jacuzzi as the events unfolded.
The unnamed teenager was indoors when the ambulance arrived. He didn't think much of it and was just about to go to his friend's house. The ambulance was outside the teenager's neighbor's house, but he wasn't concerned about it until police officers started arriving. The police were silent and didn't hammer the doors.
The teenager noted that Perry's death was awful, especially after the actor went through alcohol and drug addiction all those years. He said everything he saw at Perry's death scene was sad. He added:
"It was very disturbing (…) I saw everything. I feel bad for my younger siblings. I was very sad. At the same time, I did kind of expect it in some sense, but I didn't expect it to be so soon. He'd not lived there long."
The teenager encountered Perry once and found him to be friendlier than he thought he would be. He is now heartbroken by his death as he saw Perry was a genuinely nice guy who he looked up to. Perry was the teenager's favorite actor of all time as he made the funniest jokes on "Friends." Now, the teenager hopes Perry's friends and family will come together to support each other during this hard time.
The actor's other neighbors also described him as great. Tributes have been flowing in ever since Perry died, with most people who knew him eulogizing him as an amazing person, a great actor, and a man who helped other people.
