A man asked his girlfriend to marry him. Instead of one ring, he came with five. The reason why he proposed with five rings left the woman in complete shock and had people gushing.

Joshua Renaud entered Brittany Hunter's life when she already had four children. It never bothered Renaud because he experienced a similar setup growing up. His mother had met a man after she had given birth to him.

When Renaud was a child, his stepfather proposed to his mom. He looked up to his stepfather and called him "dad" growing up. He also emulated one of his stepfather's actions significantly.

The Man Had the Most Perfect Example Growing Up

When his dad proposed, Renaud received a special gold band. His dad promised to be there not only for his mom but for him as well, and the gold band symbolized that.

Growing up, Renaud was determined to propose the same way should fate have him fall in love with a woman who was already a mother. Years later, this eventually came true for him.

When Renaud began dating Hunter, he knew he would include her children in his proposal if he wanted to spend the rest of her life with her. Finally, that came true. On November 11, 2023, Renaud asked for Hunter's hand in marriage with her children present.

Her four children wore shirts that read, "Can we call Josh dad?" When Hunter entered the room and saw what was happening, she was in disbelief. "I was in complete shock!" — the woman said.

He addressed Hunter before addressing the children one by one. Renaud couldn't be happier with the way the kids reacted.
