Sadly, as many know, Bruce has been facing a serious health battle ever since he was diagnosed initially with aphasia, which his family announced in spring last year. His condition then progressed into frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

As reported by a statement made by the "Pulp Fiction" star's family, though Bruce suffers from more than one symptom, struggling with communication was highlighted in the informative message about his condition. A part of the statement that one of Bruce's daughters, Rumer Willis, posted on behalf of their entire family reads:

"Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce's original diagnosis..."

In a similar fashion and in addition to expressing gratitude for the abundant support of Bruce, the actor's loving wife, Emma Heming Willis, opened up about what she has since learned about her husband's ailment. Earlier this month, Emma shared life lessons learned in the hopes of helping others whose lives may be burdened by FTD.

The first lesson speaks to how she found strength in a community of people who can relate to her story. Lesson two is all about finding empowerment through spreading awareness about the disease, which is a cause close to Emma and their family's hearts.

Emma then highlighted the imperative of research as lesson three, while lesson four explored how one finds meaning along the FTD journey. Lesson six is all about maintaining hope, while lesson five may be one of the most important steps of all, and that is to give back to others who are also suffering:

"I struggle with guilt, knowing that I have resources that others don't...At the same time, I see that what I share matters to others who may be struggling, and in a small way makes them feel seen and understood..."

Recently, one of Bruce's daughters, Scout LaRue Willis, shared a heartwarming post of her and her dad on her social media account. In the post she published to her Instagram Story, Scout and Bruce were seen holding hands.

Later in the story, Bruce caresses his daughter's head as she lays it on his right hand. Though Scout is beaming as she records her and her father's exchange, Bruce doesn't look at the camera directly and has a somewhat distant look on his face.

When people saw Scout's father-daughter post, many reacted with strong emotions. Of seeing Bruce with his daughter, one fan remarked:
