Following his death, many shocking details were revealed about the singer. In the autopsy report, it was revealed that his body was covered in patches of light and dark pigments. Also according to the report, Jackson's hair was "sparse" and "connected to a wig."
Early in his career, Jackson survived a scary accident while shooting a commercial for Pepsi. The King of Pop was dancing down a staircase when a smoke bomb ignited close to him.

Jackson's curls caught fire, and he reportedly started crying, calling out for his brother. The accident resulted in him suffering second and third-degree burns on his scalp. The "Beat It" singer reportedly left the scene covered in bandages but told the ambulance attendant not to remove his spangled glove. The accident happened in 1984, and when the news broke, it was first falsely reported that Jackson had been shot.
The singer's exponential success quickly overshadowed the incident. That year, he won eight Grammy Awards, made the cover of Time Magazine, and his Thriller album became one of the best-selling albums of all time, with over 40 million copies sold.

Jackson was reportedly glowing when he saw his ideas finally come to life for the big concert series, titled "This Is It." The singer's vocal director, Dorian Holley, recalled the night before Jackson died. Holley said he left rehearsals to attend meetings, and 12 hours later, a 911 call was made, stating that Jackson was not breathing and not responding to CPR.
The choreographer, Travis Payne, who was working with Jackson for the concert series, was in absolute shock when he got the call that the King of Pop had died. In his last conversation with the singer, Payne told Jackson he loved him, and he replied, "'Love you more. See you at 2 o'clock.'

However, it was revealed that Jackson did not have any heart problems that would have caused his cardiac arrest, but he was on a lot of prescription medication. There was another detail that was not included in his autopsy but was revealed by his doctor, Dr Conrad Murray, in his memoir.

According to Murray, the singer was very private about many things, so much so that for a long time, no one was allowed to see his feet because he suffered from a severe fungal infection, which left his skin looking like it was "rotting."
It turned out that the feet that Jackson relied on to create some of his most iconic dance moves, like his moonwalk, were a big source of insecurity. Murray even said that part of the reason the singer always wore socks was to hide his feet.

Despite the pain that the singer experienced, it did not stop him from coining the moonwalk. Professional dancer Derek "Cooley" Jaxson said he was one of the people who showed the singer the moonwalk.
Jackson was reportedly very particular about how he wanted the move to look and feel. It was important that the dance was so flawless that it looked like he was moving forward while moving backward. The legendary singer debuted the dance in 1983.

Murray eventually managed to help Jackson treat his feet. He was put on anti-fungal medications to clear the infection, which worked wonders. The singer of "You Rock My World" was shocked to be able to walk without pain. Jackson had been taking painkillers for his ailing feet for many years.

There were many more things that Jackson was private about, especially regarding his personal life. It was revealed that the singer would make his children wear face masks when they went out so they would not be recognized. While he was a worldwide celebrity, he wanted to give his children a normal childhood.
