Madonna Looks the ‘Best’ in Years While Crying during Her Concert – Photo
Fans claim Madonna looked the best she has been in years at an Amsterdam concert where her eyes swelled with tears. The international superstar paid tribute to millions.
Madonna's "The Celebration Tour" is in full swing. In her recent Amsterdam stop, she got emotional on stage as she paid tribute to millions of people on World AIDS Day.
The 65-year-old looked up in tears as she paid homage to her late mother and all those affected by HIV and AIDS. One fan at the touching concert claimed she was moved to tears by Madonna's passionate tribute.
"She was talking about her friends [who] died with HIV and how [lucky] we are, because nowadays we have good drugs to help us. She was talking for about 10 minutes. I was touched. I was there," the fan wrote.
Others focused on her appearance rather than the message behind her tears. One claimed Madonna "looks best." Another fan echoed the sentiments, saying the singer "looks amazing."
"Her face looks way better than it did," added one supporter. However, others weren't as kind. That's plastic surgery not a melancholy look…" claimed a critic. "Botox is leaking," someone joked. Madonna shared a post about the emotional night a day after the concert. Even after she woke up the day after, she was still saddened.
"AIDS came through like a brushfire. Like a freight train. It was unexpected and merciless. It destroyed all the beautiful people. An entire generation of artists was wiped out. Turned to ash," the singer wrote.
Madonna often speaks out about matters close to her heart. In February, she spoke about the issue of ageism and misogyny, which she claimed to have experienced at the Grammys.
She stated, "Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny That permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 And feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous."
"I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I'm not going to start," Madonna continued on Instagram. She concluded by saying she would continue to push boundaries and enjoy her beautiful life.
