Upon opening her eyes in the hospital, Madonna's first concern was her children. She wrote on social media on July 10, 2023, "My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour."

She also did not want to disappoint everyone who worked with her over the past few months and helped make the tour a reality. Her manager, Guy Oseary, has been giving health updates via his account.

Musician Martin Solveig commented, "Be well, queen," " We're just glad you're taking the break and rest! No 'Causing a Commotion' joking here, " a supporter wrote, adding:

"We just want you healthy and supported with ♥."

"Listen to your body, please. ur health its first, not the tour (sic)," a fan agreed. Grammy winner DJ Tracy Young said, "We love you, M! You never disappoint and always deliver!!

With her "Celebration Tour" that had been scheduled to start in Vancouver on July 15, Madonna had been keeping a strict schedule to prepare.

A night owl, she reportedly preferred to sleep in the day and start work at 5 p.m. through to as early as 3. a.m. Her children, David Bana and Mercy James were with her doing some rehearsals.
