Twin sisters Kate and Anna storm off to their mother's nursing home after learning she's cut them off from her will. Arriving there, they are in for a shock: their mother no longer lives at the care home. Where did Eleanor go?

Anna and Kate sat in the lawyer's office, their faces etched with disbelief. They had lived off their mother's wealth for years, even after moving her to a nursing home. But now, the lawyer had shocking news: their mother had removed them from her will.

"How could she do this?" Anna stammered, her voice rising in anger.

"Exactly! She can't just cut us off like that!" Kate exclaimed.

The lawyer, his face grim, explained that the decision was final. Unless their mother changed her mind, they would receive nothing. He even showed them the will's final copy and ensured Eleanor was in the right state of mind when she decided to cut them off.

Enraged by their mother's decision, the two sisters stormed out of the lawyer's office. At one point, Kate pulled out her phone and called Eleanor, but the older lady never answered.

"Typical!" Kate grumbled. "She cuts us off and then doesn't even have the decency to face us!"

"She's always been selfish," Anna fumed. "Remember how she would always prioritize her work over us? And now, she's throwing us away like we're nothing!"

"Yeah, and we're the ones who had to put her in that nursing home," Kate added, her eyes flashing with anger. "We took care of all that, and this is how she repays us? I think we should try calling her again."

Anna shook her head. "What's the use? It's clear she doesn't want anything to do with us. We need a plan," she continued. "We can't let her get away with this."

"You're right," Kate nodded. "We need to confront her in person."

Anna and Kate arrived at the nursing home, determined to confront their mother. They approached the receptionist, an elderly lady, and explained the purpose of their visit.

"It's our first time visiting her here," Kate added.

The receptionist checked the records. "I don't have a record of your mother living here," she said.

Anna frowned. "But we admitted her here three years ago!" she exclaimed.

Hearing the commotion, a nurse approached them. "Can I help you with something? Sorry, but I heard you are looking for a certain Eleanor?"

The two sisters explained everything, and the woman sighed.

"Six months ago, a man claiming to be your mother's son took her away," she explained.

"Son? But Mom doesn't have a son!" Kate said.

The nurse shook her head. "He had all the proper documents, and your mother acknowledged him as her son."

Kate pulled Anna to the side. "We have to find out who that man was," she whispered. "There has to be a visitor log or something."

Anna hesitated. "Are you suggesting we steal the visitor log?"

"Not steal, just... borrow it for a moment."

So Kate distracted the receptionist, saying she wanted to collect Eleanor's remaining belongings, and while the receptionist and Kate were gone, Anna dashed to the desk and took a photo of the visitor log.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps returning. Panicking, Anna ducked down behind the desk, her heart racing. She pressed herself into the small space under the desk, barely daring to breathe.

Kate realized Anna was still hiding. "Oh, I think I left my phone in the room!" she said, turning to face the receptionist.

As they left again, Anna emerged from behind the counter. She pretended to read a brochure on the nearby table when the receptionist returned with Kate.

"Thank you so much," Kate said, and the two sisters left the nursing home.

They drove to the address they'd found in the log and saw their mother with a young man.

"Mom!" Anna called out. Eleanor turned around, a look of surprise on her face.

"What's going on, Mom? Who is this?" Kate snapped at the man.

"This is Jake, your brother," their mother explained firmly. "I had him when I was 16. I gave him up back then, but we found each other again."

Anna and Kate were speechless. This was unbelievable.

"He just wants your money and property," Kate accused.

Their mother shook her head. "He cares for me. He doesn't want anything in return."

"Open your eyes and look, Mom! He's deceiving you!" Anna insisted. "Does he know you cut us out of the will?"

Eleanor's face hardened. "You deserve nothing!" she sneered at the girls. "You've used me enough while I was alive. I won't let you use me even after I'm dead."

Kate's anger flared. "You old witch!" she yelled.

Suddenly, Eleanor clutched her heart. Jake stepped forward, concerned.

"I think Mom needs to rest," he said and led her inside.

Anna and Kate were furious. They wouldn't let this stranger steal their inheritance.

"We need a plan," Anna said, her eyes flashing with determination.

Anna and Kate arrived at Jake's house again. They rang the doorbell, and after a short wait, Jake opened the door. He looked surprised to see them but masked it quickly with a polite smile.

"We know we started on the wrong foot," Kate began, holding up the dish she and Anna had bought. "We brought dinner, hoping we could all talk as a family."

Jake hesitated for a moment but then stepped aside, letting them in. "Sure, let's have dinner together."

As they ate, Kate turned the conversation to Jake. "So, how did you find out Eleanor was your real mother?" she asked, her tone casual but her eyes sharp.

Jake said he was adopted and had found his adoption papers after his adoptive parents' passing. He began looking for Eleanor after that and succeeded in finding her.

Eleanor, who had been listening quietly, suddenly yawned. "I'm sorry, but I'm feeling quite tired. I think I'll go to bed now."

Jake immediately stood up. "Of course, Mom. Let me help you to your room."

As Jake assisted Eleanor, Anna and Kate quickly exchanged a look. Kate subtly reached into her purse and pulled out a small container of powdered sleeping pills.

With a glance to ensure Jake was out of sight, she poured a generous amount into Jake's wine glass, stirring it discreetly.

Moments later, Jake returned, settling back into his seat. He picked up his wine glass, unaware of the tampering. "So, where were we?" he asked, sipping his wine.

Anna forced a smile, watching as Jake drank the wine. "Just getting to know each other better," she replied cunningly.

Looking for a way to move their plan forward, Anna picked up her wine glass and held it up. "Let's toast," she announced, her voice steady. "To a new family and the new memories we'll create together."

"To family and memories," Kate repeated.

Jake, nodding in agreement, lifted his glass and drank all the wine in one go, unaware of the trap set for him.

A short while later, Jake's expression changed. He put a hand to his forehead, looking unsteady. "I don't feel so good," he murmured, his words slurring.

Anna and Kate exchanged quick, almost invisible glances, their plan unfolding as they had hoped.

Jake pushed his chair back. "I better lie down," he said, swaying slightly. "You can stay, it's late. Leave in the morning."

"Thank you, Jake," Anna replied, her voice laced with false gratitude. "You've been really welcoming."

"Yes, you're very kind," Kate said, adding to the pretense of concern.

Jake's condition rapidly deteriorated. He stood up from the table, his balance failing him as he stumbled a few steps. Then, with a heavy thud, he collapsed onto the floor.

Anna and Kate rushed to his side, their hearts pounding. "Is he breathing?" Kate asked anxiously.

Anna, her hands shaking, checked for any sign of breath. After a tense moment, she shook her head. "No, he's not breathing. I think he's dead."

"We need to move him," Anna said, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can't leave him here."

Working quickly, they found a large carpet in the living room. They rolled Jake's body into it with hurried movements, struggling with his weight. "He's so heavy," Kate grunted as they heaved him off the ground.

They loaded Jake's body into their car, drove to a forest, and dumped his body amidst the trees.

Anna and Kate returned home with a heavy heart. They lay in the guest room, pretending to sleep.

Eleanor woke up and searched for Jake and her medicine. "Where's Jake?" she called out. "He knows where my meds are!"

The girls hugged her, tears in their eyes. "We don't know where Jake is, but our money and jewelry are gone," Kate cried.

"He robbed us," Anna said.

Eleanor couldn't believe it. "It can't be," she said.

"Have you checked your room?" Kate asked Eleanor.

Worried, they all checked Eleanor's room. The jewelry and money there were gone. "I trusted him," Eleanor said, heartbroken. "I'm calling the police."

"Maybe don't," Anna said. "He's probably far away."

"He stole a precious brooch that was passed down through generations," Eleanor said, refusing the girls' advice.

As Eleanor went to call the police, the door opened. Jake stood there, covered in dirt, with the police behind him.

"They tried to kill me! Arrest them!" he shouted, pointing at the sisters.

The police handcuffed the girls. "He's lying! We're the victims!" Kate yelled.

But the police found Eleanor's stolen items in their belongings.

"I knew you wanted the inheritance," Eleanor said, disappointed. "But you went too far."

The police took the girls away. While sitting in the cop car, the sisters regretted their actions. Their plan had backfired and ruined their lives forever.
