"All My Children" star Cameron Mathison, 54, just shared a positive update concerning his health following his battle with cancer. The blue-eyed actor confirmed that he is now cancer-free and currently feeling good and strong, four years after his diagnosis.
Mathison had been diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2019 and underwent surgery the same year to treat the ailment. Fortunately, his cancer was detected early and was not an aggressive form of the life-threatening disease.
The "General Hospital" talent said his doctors informed him that his healthy lifestyle greatly impacted his positive prognosis. Regarding what he said about his health, Mathison divulged, "I had my 4-year cancer checkup so I'm healthy...I've got more energy than I've ever been. I worked really hard at it."
Mathison, who regularly displays his fitness lifestyle on his social media account, also mentioned that he takes ice baths as part of his health routine. Fitness is very important to the "A Kindhearted Christmas" talent, and he loves motivating others to keep fit and healthy.
The talented actor, who is a loving husband to his beloved wife, Vanessa Arevalo, and a doting dad to their two kids, Lucas and Leila, is incredibly grateful for conquering his cancer battle.
