Two days ago, famous actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, 54, was spotted stepping out with her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez. The mother and daughter were doing some shopping in Los Angeles during the Christmas weekend and Lopez was dressed in a pair of jeans, which sparked commentary from social media users.

Lopez adorned a brown turtleneck sweater, brown heel boots, retro sunglasses, a chic Hermès handbag, and avant-garde denim jeans with brown markings that appeared worn out. Rodriguez wore a long-sleeved white shirt, New Balance sneakers, and comfortable pants and draped a checkered shawl over her shoulders.

When the public saw Lopez and her mom on their shopping excursion, many discussed the actress' choice of jeans and were left puzzled.

The "Marry Me" star's designer jeans, which cost $620, caused people to ponder, "Why are her pants dirty?" Another social media user rhetorically asked, "Her mom let her go out like that?" Others called Lopez's jeans "dirty," and said, "Those jeans [are] crazy filthy..."

Although most people expressed their dislike for the star's jeans, other people praised Lopez for her look. One person complimented, "Dirty look is cool," while another stated, "The jeans look horrible but you can't lie, she is rocking them."

This latest outing with her mother is not the first time the mother-daughter duo have enjoyed spending time together. Earlier this year, the "Hustlers" talent brought her mom along with her to an interview she was doing.

One of the show's hosts asked Rodriguez to repeat what she had said in the past about her daughter's relationship with the movie star, to which she then repeated, "I knew that you would always get back together because I prayed for 20 years."

Lopez's mom's prayers were answered when her daughter reunited with the love of her life, years after their infamous first break up, and got married last year.
