Julia Roberts, 56, Wows in Red Dress with Slit Showing 'Stretched' Leg & It Ignites Online Discussion
Julia Roberts stunned in a red dress that exposed one leg, but it sparked reactions from social media users, who said her legs looked "stretched."
Hollywood icon Julia Roberts, 56, was a vision in red when she wore a chic gown with a thigh-high slit while posing for the new cover issue of British Vogue magazine. Her dazzling appearance ignited a flurry of comments from the public.
In one of the pictures taken during the photo shoot, Roberts, styled by Edward Enninful, was seen lounging on the floor in an elegantly decorated room. Her luscious locks were curled and blown out in a way that framed her face.
While some people praised the "Pretty Woman" star for how beautiful she looked, calling her a "Goddess 🔥" and saying she is "the most beautiful woman on the planet," others were confused by what they saw. Many were puzzled by Roberts' legs: "Oh my god...what happened to her leg??"
Another social media user asked: "Anyone else find this pose extremely awkward and unnatural looking?" Someone else commented: "They stretched her lovely legs!"
Revered as a beauty icon, Roberts believes "leading a life that is fulfilling" is a way to maintain a youthful appearance. Prior to winning People magazine's "World's Most Beautiful Woman" title in 2017, Roberts had won the title four times.
Her first win was in 1991 when she was just 23 years old. The magazine's editors deemed the "Notting Hill" talent "a Botticelli beauty." At age 32 in 2000, Roberts won the title again. Five years later, five months after she became a mom to her twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel Moder, Roberts took home the title for a third time and then won it a fourth time in 2010.
When she won for the fifth time in 2017 in her 40s, Julia Roberts expressed that she was extremely flattered and said that she felt that she was starting to reach her peak.
