He divulged: "I'm taking a break, yeah [...] I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life."

Another reason Jim Carrey planned on retiring is his ability to recognize that he has had enough and accomplished enough as an actor. His self-awareness also enables him to see that he is enough to be the person he is without all the glitz and glam of Hollywood.
