Man Kept Childhood Secret for 20 Years & Comes Clean at Brother's Wedding – 'I Got So Much Trouble for That'
A sibling was the best man at his brother's wedding recently. While giving a speech, he revealed a secret he had kept since they were kids, leaving the groom shocked.
On January 26, 2024, Tali Joy Photography posted a video from what seemed to be an intimate wedding. The clip showed the best man giving his speech during the reception. The best man was the younger brother of the groom.
The video only began when the sibling revealed what he had been keeping mum about for all these years, capturing the priceless reaction from the groom, who was seated next to his newly-wedded wife.

The 53-second clip went viral with over 400k reactions on TikTok. One person said they would love to hear the story from the beginning as it only showed from the part when the best man revealed the big secret, which left everyone bursting with laughter.
According to the best man, when he was eight years old, his brother David and his friend Mark were playing paintball at their house. As he said this, his older brother made a funny face, as he was unsure what he was talking about.
The best man further explained that he, too, enjoys playing paintball, and when he asked his brother and his pal if he could join them, they refused. He said it was normal for older siblings to do that to younger siblings. But he would not let them go without him, while also noting that it was typical for younger siblings to not back down either.
After that, he ran upstairs to get his belongings, but when he returned downstairs, David and Mark were gone. He recounted what happened next, saying:
"So, I picked up a couple of Mark's paintballs and I threw them against the house next door."

Once the groom realized what his sibling was talking about, his eyes popped as he was stunned to hear the revelation, and he started pointing at him while shouting, "Wait, wait, now, are you serious?" And his younger brother answered, "Yes," as guests erupted with laughter.
The best man continued by saying his brother David assured the neighbors that it could not have been him or Mark because their paintball color was not that particular color. Meanwhile, David revealed:
"I got so much trouble for that."

The best man further divulged that their parents did not believe David when he said he did not do it. Neither did the neighbors. So, for his punishment, they made him clean it all up.
The best man joked that he knew he was supposed to tell the truth eventually, but he desperately wanted to watch TV that day, so he kept it to himself and has been quiet about it for years. As he said this, the guests applauded while laughing.
"So, I bring this up twenty years later as a wedding gift to him for closure. That I am the one that threw those paintballs. So, thank you for letting me watch TV," said the best man. At this point, David was in disbelief and could not help but laugh along with his guests and spouse.
Fellow TikTok users were so amused by this post that they said it was an interesting best-man speech, while some noted that the groom's reaction was priceless.
