The post quickly set social media abuzz, with numerous fans and onlookers rushing to comment, particularly focusing on her outfit.
People left comments such as, "Why is your belly button side eyeing me [sic]?" "Chrissy love I think they forgot to center your belly button when they put it back on," and "I think Chrissy is beautiful but honestly I hate this dress." While Teigen undoubtedly looked gorgeous during the event, her journey to this point hasn't been without its struggles, particularly with her body image post-pregnancy. She has been open about the challenges she faced, especially after experiencing the profound loss of a baby midway through pregnancy in 2021.

Teigen shared her feelings in an Instagram post, noting how such a loss leaves a woman's body in a state of suspension, unable to proceed with the natural processes expected after childbirth.
She described the physical and emotional stagnation that comes with being reminded of what could have been every time she looked in the mirror, emphasizing the complex layers of grief that accompany such a loss.
"Usually you’d gain your “yumyums I’m praaaagnant!” weight, then put on the weight of your little bebe. Then, ideally, you’d have your baby," she wrote. "But man. When you lose a baby halfway through, your body just pauses. It has nothing to do. No one to feed. And you’re just…stuck."
Tiegen admitted that her body's state left her completely saddened because of the reminder it brings her of her baby's passing.
Teigen's appearance took another turn in 2023 when she faced criticism over her weight gain and allegations of excessive cosmetic procedures. In a defiant reply, Teigen addressed a critic on Instagram who insinuated that she got a "new face" due to overfill.
Teigen bluntly clapped back, noting that she had gained weight rather than altering her face through fillers. This incident ignited a flurry of negative comments, with some harshly judging her appearance and moral character.

Despite the hate, Teigen's response was characteristically straightforward and unapologetic, showcasing her resilience in the face of unwarranted criticism.
Teigen has always been transparent about her experiences with cosmetic procedures, including her decision to get breast implants at 20 and her subsequent choice to have them removed.
She explained her initial decision was driven by a desire for a certain look in her modeling work, especially for swimsuit shoots. However, after going through the journey of motherhood, her priorities and body image evolved, leading her to opt for implant removal for comfort and personal satisfaction.
Criticism is nothing new for Teigen, who has received backlash several times in the past. Previously, Chrissy Teigen received different reactions to a revelation she made about her son.
In a recent interview, the famous TV personality and model made a revelation about her son Miles Stephens, 5. She admitted that when it comes to food, Miles has yet to eat a vegetable.
While conversing with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, the discussion veered toward Chrissy's children—Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren Stephens— whom she shares with music icon John Legend. She first spoke about how her daughter, Luna, is very disciplined when it comes to eating healthy.
When it came time to talk about Miles' eating habits, the doting mom disclosed, "Miles has still not had a vegetable." She then went on to confirm, "Never. He accidentally ate a broccoli floret in fried rice and was so upset about it."
After the interview was published, Chrissy received backlash from many people. One social media user said, "Shame, poor child," while another insulted Chrissy's parental skills and chastised her, "Poor parenting. Start them off the right way." Similarly, another person stated: "Children learn from their parents. Do better!"
Others could not believe that Chrissy appeared to say what she did with nonchalance and ease. In this regard, someone commented, "Ridiculous! You were feeding him before he could feed himself. This is nothing to be proud of; I wouldn't watch your cooking show."
Another social media user pointed out, "I thought someone hosting a cooking show should have basic nutrition knowledge," while someone else who also felt strongly about the situation noted, "That's kinda old; my kid [has] been eating vegetables since she was able to eat regular food."
In the interview in which the infamous statement was made, Chrissy also spoke about her new food series with David Chang called "Chrissy and Dave Dine Out." The show follows Chrissy and David around as they dine with fellow stars at the most renowned restaurants in Los Angeles.
Despite what many had to say about Chrissy's parenting regarding monitoring what her children eat, the 38-year-old showed that she takes nutrition very seriously in a How-To video she made in 2021. In the clip, Chrissy was joined by an organizing specialist, Krysal Guinn, who helped her organize the contents of her fridge.
Although she had a few snacks and sodas like Dr Pepper in the fridge, Chrissy Teigen also had plenty of fruits and vegetables for her family.
