Eric and his ex-wife, famous actress Rebecca Gayheart, sure have raised some beautiful girls and while they may not be together anymore, the two continue to put their family first. Speaking to a media outlet a year after filing, Rebecca divulged insights into how they make their relationship work for the sake of their kids.
"There's a new normal for me and my family [...] And it's taken us a little bit to get that down. Not going to lie, it hasn't been easy. But I think what's exciting is what's ahead [...] I mean, we have so many options, and the good news is my kids are happy and healthy," disclosed the "Jawbreaker" star.
She continued to discuss her beloved daughters and when asked about whether or not they had developed an interest in their parents' line of work, Rebecca confirmed that they had. However, at the time, she felt they were too young and so they had not ventured into the entertainment industry just yet.
"They like to sing and dance and act and play piano, but we're pushing, 'Get your education, and we'll deal with that later,'" Rebecca previously explained.
She may have confirmed her kids' interest in what their parents do for a living years ago, but a recent interview that their dad did verifies this to still be true.
While conversing with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos about his former role on "Grey's Anatomy," Eric revealed, "My daughters have seen every episode [...] They've watched everything."
When it comes to the heartthrobs who starred on the popular show, Eric is not the only "Grey's Anatomy" talent who is a doting girl-dad, as his fellow former co-star, Dr. McDreamy aka Patrick Dempsey, is also a loving father to his daughter, Talula Dempsey. He and his wife, Jillian Fink, celebrated her 22nd birthday just a few months ago this year.
On their daughter's birthday, the Hollywood couple published sweet words of love and support for their gorgeous girl. "Happy Birthday to the most amazing daughter in the world !! You make every day brighter with your smile and laughter ! Love Pops," Patrick posted on his Instagram.
Talula's mom, Jillian, spoke up on her birthday too, talking about how proud she was of her. "Our baby @taluladempsey turns 22 today! Happy birthday to my favorite girl 💗,” she penned.
"I am so proud to be your momma - you are beautiful, kind, generous of spirit, and an incredibly humorous person. You bring joy and laughter to us all every day & so much more," Jillian continued.
Fans also joined in to congratulate Patrick and Jillian's daughter on her special day."What a beautiful young lady. Happy Birthday," gushed an admirer. "She's absolutely gorgeous," another fan agreed.
Since leaving "Grey's Anatomy" and its demanding filming schedule, Patrick has had more time for his family, which includes his two other children (Talula's brothers)—seventeen-year-old twin boys Darby and Sullivan Dempsey.
