The absence was felt deeply, as Kate once admitted that his move to college was challenging. Kate said, before becoming emotional, "It's so hard, all you want is for your kid to thrive and be happy, but man, when I'm in L.A. and I go to the coffee machine in the morning and I don't hear his voice."

As she navigates this tough transition, Kate isn't alone. She has found support in fellow actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon, both of whom also have children in college. Their shared experiences have created a strong bond of understanding and empathy, for which Kate is deeply grateful.
