Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa were spotted enjoying a relaxed afternoon on the Amalfi Coast on Sunday, where they met up with longtime friend Sting for lunch in Salerno, Italy.

The sighting drew attention when Sting was photographed greeting Scialfa, 72, with a kiss, but the moment was simply a friendly hello. The gathering was far from scandalous. Instead, it was a casual outing among friends that also included director Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw.

Springsteen, 75, appeared in good spirits, wearing light-wash jeans, a crisp white button-up, and a patterned navy, red, and white jacket. Patti Scialfa, who has been married to Springsteen since 1993, joined him at the table as the group shared lunch.

In 2024, Scialfa publicly revealed her six-year battle with multiple myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. She was first diagnosed in 2018 and has since experienced physical challenges that have impacted her ability to perform.

Her story was shared in the documentary "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band," where she spoke openly about her health for the first time.

Despite the personal challenges, Scialfa has continued to mark milestones with her family. On June 8, she posted a throwback image on Instagram celebrating her first wedding anniversary with Springsteen. The couple has now been together for 34 years and share three children: Evan, 35; Jessica, 33; and Sam, 31.

The outing with Sting adds to a decades-long friendship between the two musicians. At Sting's 60th birthday celebration in 2011, Springsteen reflected on their bond, "I've known Sting for about 25 years. But our friendship is a little unusual, because every time I read about Sting in a magazine, I don't recognize him."

Their connection continues to make headlines, not just for their music, but for the enduring camaraderie behind the scenes.
