What Bystanders Did Before Paramedics Arrived
As the chaotic scene unfolded, a bystander shouted for someone to retrieve Narcan, a medication known for counteracting the effects of opioid overdoses.
As seen in the video, someone at the scene administered the nasal spray while waiting for emergency responders. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene after receiving the same overdose call.
The outlet spoke to the comedian that night, and he said he was alive and relieved. However, the publication's report stated that the comedian did not elaborate on the happenings of the night or what drugs he took. The video, however, captured the urgency among those around him as they attempted to render aid before first responders arrived.
