Hollywood legend Pierce Brosnan was all smiles when surprise visitors showed up outside his $100 million Malibu home — but the internet? Not quite as friendly.

The 72-year-old "James Bond" icon stunned fans when he appeared in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) this past Sunday, 4 December, showing him casually greeting a group gathered right outside his clifftop California estate.

The clip, posted by a woman named Aney Stokes, captures the "Tomorrow Never Dies" star walking up to the crowd as they filmed just outside of his private property.

"James Bond he said isn't it! Happy New Year to you and your family," Stokes calls out cheerfully in the video. Brosnan, ever the gentleman, replies warmly, "Good blessings to you all," as he shakes their hands and asks, "Where are you all from?"

"Ireland... obviously," the woman says. "I know, where?" Brosnan presses. "Me mum's family is from Donegal, my dad's Kerry, we're from all over Ireland," she explains, clearly delighted by the exchange.

Her partner then steps forward to shake the actor's hand, adding, "Pleasure to meet you." The group even scored a personal video message from Brosnan, who later posed for photos and gave shoutouts to their loved ones back home.

"Pierce Brosnan lovely man even hung around for pictures after," Stokes captioned the post — which instantly exploded online.

Many swooned over Brosnan's gracious, down-to-earth demeanor.

"From all I've heard just a decent guy. I had a friend paid to watch his house in Hawaii and said he played cards with the staff every night and was just down to earth and humble. Every clip I've seen with him and fans jives with that," one person wrote.

"I met him at the grocery store, the nicest man," another chimed in. "He's Irish so he's down to Earth…" a third fan reasoned. "One of the best James Bonds," another added proudly.

But not everyone was thrilled about the scene.

"Put ur phone away & just chat to the man like a human," one critic snapped. "He's probably wondering why she can't put the phone down to speak with him like a normal human being," another agreed. "He should of called the police. This is a classic case of disturbing the peace," one irritated viewer posted.
