Celine Dion shares a health update after news of canceling Las Vegas shows
She chose to share an emotional video on a very special occasion.
According to an article published by Inquisitr, singer Celine Dion recently posted a special message for her fans and followers on social media on her birthday, thanking well-wishers and giving them an update about her health.
Dion celebrated her 50th birthday this year, and she decided to express her happiness and gratitude on the occasion with a post that was written in French and English.
In the post, which was written a day after her birthday on March 30, Dion addressed the readers as her friends and thanked them for the birthday wishes and videos. Calling the greetings wonderful, she highlighted that she was truly touched by all of them.
Dion also mentioned how she spent her 50th birthday. Dion’s note stated that she had an intimate celebration with her family members. However, she added that she thought of her fans while celebrating.
She concluded her note by expressing her gratitude to her followers for their support, and for being a significant presence in her life.
The iconic singer also posted a brief update about her health, anticipating that her well-wishers would be concerned after she had to abruptly cancel a number of concerts that were lined up in Las Vegas owing to a medical emergency.
Dion wrote that she was excited about returning to the stage, giving her 100% and seeing her fans.
While it seemed like Dion had a great birthday, celebrating quietly was not the original plan. Reports had suggested that Dion would celebrate it in a grand fashion with a concert at Las Vegas’ Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace.
The Colosseum has always been a special place for Dion, and she has performed to huge crowds at the venue several times in the past.
However, the plan was dropped after Dion had to take a break from performing due to a problem implicating her ears. Dion had reportedly been diagnosed with the Patulous Eustachian tube, a condition that limits the functioning of the ears.
