Channing Tatum shows off his 'new girl' after recent split from Jenna Dewan

"I got my new girl!!! And she is sooo bananas!! Those are not the choicest words for a guy that just announced breaking up from his wife of 9 years, but Channing Tatum still went ahead and used them. He and Jenna Dewan Tatum announced in their respective Instagram accounts that they were letting go amicably but that they would remain committed parents to their daughter, Everly.

The couple gave a joint statement to People announcing the decision to break up amicably.

"We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won't be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family's privacy."

The two met on the set of the dance movie Step Up, in 2006 and got married in 2009 after dating for 3 years. they have one child together, Everly, who turns 5 this year on May 31. News of the break up came as a surprise as they seemed to have the ideal relationship. Jenna told Health Magazine in an interview that there was no such thing as the perfect marriage. "When people say you guys have such a perfect life, I want to scream and tell them no one's perfect. I think there are such things as great fits. It is a great fit as long as you are growing together, and I think up until this point we've really grown together. Even if one starts to grow, the other catches up and vice-versa."

Some reports say that cracks in their relationship were noticed when they stopped appearing in events together – last photographed together in November. Insiders say that their busy schedules ruined their marriage.
