Superstar Celine Dion is celebrating a landmark birthday surrounded by her children, family, and friends
As incredible as it may seem, Celine Dion turned 50 years old, and the mega-star had a quiet celebration as she recovered from ear surgery to correct a condition that was threatening her singing career.
She chose the occasion to share a video composed of dozens of photos, snippets of her history from her childhood up until the present day, reported ET Online.com on the 30th of March 2018.
The compilation is set to a very special soundtrack: a selection of Dion's songs, including I Drove All Night, It's All Coming Back to Me, Where Does My Heart Beat Now.
The photographs as nostalgic snapshots illustrating Dion's life; her childhood, the beginning of her singing career at 12, her romance with her late husband, Rene Angelil, and loving moments when the world-class singer was just the mom of Rene-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy.
“She is now looking forward to spending time with her kids and loved ones on her big day.”

Dion's original plan was to celebrate her 50th birthday on stage in Las Vegas with a special show surrounded by her fans.
Everything was set for an unforgettable performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace but Dion's doctors forced her to cancel three weeks of performances in order to undergo surgery for an ear condition, and recuperate.
Dion is a tireless performer and has buried herself in work, as a form of grief therapy since the death of her husband Rene Angelil in 2016.
Sources close to Dion have confided that the singer is inconsolable at the loss of the man who had been her greatest support since she was a 12 year old with a voice of gold, and he mortgaged his house to launch her singing career.
Dion and Angelil fell in love when the singer was in her twenties, and he became her husband as well as her manager, her biggest fan, and her best friend.
