Mariah Carey’s former brother-in-law stands up for her amidst sexual harassment allegations from her former manager.
AmoMama shares with you the news of Nick Cannon’s brother Reuben Cannon standing up for his brother’s ex-wife, Mariah Carey amidst sexual harassment scandal as reported by Radar Online on April 17, 2018.
It’s rare to see a strong bond between in-laws but that seems to be the case of Reuben Cannon and his famous singer in-law Mariah Carey.
Just last week Singer Mariah took a bold step as she opened up about her diagnosis of Bipolar II Disorder. Mariah was diagnosed with the disease back in 2001 and she disclosed that she’s been living in denial since her heartbreaking diagnosis but decided to do something brave and encourage people living with the disease.
Well, not everyone thought good of Mariah’s revelation as her former manager Stella Bulochnikov slammed Mariah with allegations of sexual harassment claiming the singer was mentally unstable and sexually abused her.
In the wake of the allegations, Mariah’s former brother-in-law from her marriage Nick Cannon has come out to defend the songstress.
Reuben Cannon who is an upcoming musician stated that Stella was trying to take advantage of Mariah’s good nature just because she came out with her Bipolar diagnosis.
Reuben insisted that Mariah wasn’t crazy. He was quoted saying,
‘I’ve known Mariah for so long, and she is the mother of my niece and nephew. She is a great mother and a great person.’
He further defended the 48-year-old singer saying,
‘Stella is clearly trying to take advantage of Mariah right now because she came out and admitted to being bipolar, and that is so messed up.’
It seems Mariah and Reuben have a close bond as he disclosed that Mariah was one of the first people to ever believe in him and give him a chance when it came to his music career.
Mariah’s representative has responded to her former manager’s claim saying Mariah shall be defended vigorously and successfully against such frivolous accusations.
