Katie Holmes shares a sweet photo of Suri on her 12th birthday. She is already grown so much

She is only one year shy of being a teenager and her doting mother is known to celebrate such important milestones.

As reported in an article published by Inquisitr, Katie Holmes commemorated the occasion of Suri Cruise's twelfth birthday by sharing a photo of the birthday girl on social media on Wednesday, April 18.

Holmes also captioned the black and white photograph of Suri with twelve heart emojis. In the photo, Suri wore a tiara with big sparkly letters that read 'Happy Birthday.'

Suri had a big bow in her hair and she had put on a headband laced with smaller bows. As reported by In Touch Weekly, this is the fifth birthday Suri has spent without the presence of her father, Tom Cruise.

Cruise has not been a part of Suri's birthdays since 2013. Holmes and Cruise's divorce had been finalized that year. According to Gossip Con, the Top Gun star has not spoken to his daughter for many years.

Fortunately for Suri, her mother left no stone unturned to prepare for the best birthday celebration. As published in Page Six, the mother and daughter duo recently took a trip to the Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.

The trip that took place on April 13 was apparently a birthday treat for the 12-year-old. Suri and Katie were photographed preparing to ride the 'Batman the Rider' roller coaster, 'the Harley Quinn Crazy Train,' and 'The Joker.'

Suri has been showing a trait of loving adventure. During Holmes' recent interview the host of the Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon, Holmes shared that Suri was an excellent skier.

Holmes said that she is very proud of Suri's exceptional talents. She added that she was trying to keep up with Suri's adventurous side but it is an uphill battle for her to do so.
