'Fuller House' star John Stamos breaks his silence on welcoming his first newborn son
The 54-year-old producer and actor, John Stamos, is overjoyed at the prospect of fatherhood, citing that his late father is his inspiration.
His son Billy was born on April 16, 2018, and Stamos phoned into the On Air With Ryan Seacrest show three days later to talk about fatherhood.
As reported on Seacrest's website, Stamos gushed about getting engaged, married and becoming a father all in the space of six months.
“We just kind of crammed everything in because it’s been so great. It’s so beautiful having a baby. You have to do it, Ryan.”

Stamos also talked about his late father, William John Stamos, and started to cry while telling Ryan that William was his hero, and he hopes to 'live up to what [his] dad did.'
According to US Weekly, Stamos feels that his newborn son has given him a new lease on life, and he's isn't even concerned about spending late nights on baby duty.
He also joked that he had 'Peter Pan Syndrome' but said that is all behind him and he is now 'finally ready to grow up' and be the type of father his own father would be proud of.
Stamos and his wife, I Am Legend star Caitlin McHugh, started dating in 2016 and announced their engagement in October 2017. They tied the knot in February 2018.
Billy is their first child, and Stomas was in the delivery room with the 31-year-old McHugh. He said 'it happened so fast' but added that it was a beautiful moment and he is glad to have shared it with her.
Stamos is most famously known for his role of Jesse Katsopolis on the 1990's sitcom, Full House, and reprised the part for the series reboot, Fuller House, in 2016.
He is currently filming the series You and was cast in the role of Dr. Nicky. The TV show is based on a novel by Caroline Kepnes and follows the life of a bookstore employee.
