'Property Brothers' star Drew Scott opens up about twin brother Jonathan following breakup

Property Brothers star recently announced his split from his longtime girlfriend.

Weeks after Jonathan Scott ended his relationship, his twin brother, Drew Scott, revealed that he is doing well, reported Closer Weekly.

Opening up about his brother’s split from girlfriend Jacinta Kuznetsov, Drew assured fans that Jonathan was happy.

“Jonathan is great. We’re always supporting each other. And at the end of the day, for us, the biggest thing is family.”

The Property Brothers star added that Jonathan and Kuznetsov had “an amicable split.”

Jonathan had announced his breakup on Instagram on April 6. In a heartfelt post, he said that he met his girlfriend, a kind, courageous person, and a champion for human/animal rights, back in 2015.

He said that the two had grown to respect each other, something that will remain unchanged for the rest of their lives.

Shedding light on their breakup, he said that there was no ‘drama or negativity; no jealousy or hate’ and not even sadness. The two continue to be friends who will continue to advocate for each other and that their memories were only filled with joy.

Kuznetsov is a development producer at the production company owned by the Scott brothers. She said that the two will continue to be friends and work together at Scott Brothers Entertainment.

She added that though the two may have gone their separate ways, there is love and respect for one another. The two will be a part of each other’s lives as friends.

Jonathan was previously married to his first wife, Kelsey, for two years. The two had tied the knot months after they had met in 2007.

It seems that he was not ready to walk down the aisle with Kuznetsov as the couple had not planned on getting married.

His brother, Scott, however, is all set to get married to his longtime girlfriend, Linda Phan, next month.
