Dakota Fanning flashes her slender figure in black midi with cherry pattern during a recent outing

Dakota Fanning has been acting since she was seven and so she knows how to avoid paparazzi whenever she needs to. She also knows that she cannot avoid the cameras even when she is only having a peaceful walk in her swanky Beverly Hills neighborhood. The platinum blonde 24-year-old, whose little sister Elle is also an actress, was joined by their 50-year-old mother Heather Joy Arrington.

Fanning had on a red, white and black cherry patterned dress with a slit up the front and a hemline cut off just below the knee while her mom wore a rose and white sundress with a plunging neckline and short sleeves. They each carried a shopping bag.

When doing press for her 2013 film The Last Of Robin Hood, a biopic of Old Hollywood star Errol Flynn where her character’s mother was super pushy, the actress said that her mother was the opposite of that.

‘I don't have any experience with stage mothers. My mom was not....The main difference was Susan's character is totally forcing Beverly to be an actress and Beverly just doesn't really have any desire and she doesn't care one way or another and, with me, it was just the opposite. My mom was like: "I'm ready to go home. If you don't want to do this anymore, you don't have to. We can go home to Georgia." When we were in LA, and I was like: "No, I want to stay. I like it!"'

She rose to fame after her 2001 film I Am Sam and has been in the limelight since. Her most current project, Ocean 8 is expected to be as much a success as all the films she has featured in.
