On Tuesday, May 7, 2018, the 49-year-old took to his Instagram page to send a special and heartfelt message to the actress, who bid the show farewell after 15 seasons.

Perrette brought Abby Sciuto to life, causing fans to fall in love with the gothic forensic scientist's antics and sweet personality. But they had been warned that she wouldn't be around for much longer, as reported by Access Online.

On October 4, 2017, Perrette, used her Twitter to announce that she would be leaving CBS's hit show. The news was received with sadness and made fans wonder how Abby's story would end.

Weatherly, who left NCIS in 2016 to star in Bull, filmed a short video while on the street. The actor said that he would be watching the series finale 'with a box of Kleenex.'

Under the clip, the 49-year-old wrote that he planned on consoling his children after the episode, and wished Perrette all the luck in the world before sending her a 'big kiss.'

The actress replied to the message by telling Weatherly that she loved him and calling him 'brother.' Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Nick Torres on the show, also took the opportunity to express his love for Perrette.

Recently, the actress has been working on herself by practicing kickboxing, which might come in handy since the man who tried to kill her in 2015 was released in February 2018.

David Merck, 47, approached Perrette on the street and punched her nose and forehead before she managed to escape and warned the police. Thanks to her description, they were able to track Merck down and arrest him.
