Music legend Stevie Nicks was given a special surprise when her rousing performance of Landslide was interrupted by a sweet visit from her longtime friend Kid Rock on the stage.

A YouTube video of Nicks performing at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 2014 shows the emotional moment when the two close friends held each other in an embrace before finally parting with a sweet kiss.

Nicks was completely engrossed in her performance up on the stage as the fans sang and cheered along with her, gripped by the nostalgia and timeless appeal of her music.

That was when Rock decided to sneak in. Right in the middle of the song, he walked behind Nicks and caught her in an embrace. They spent a few moments sharing a few words with each other.

The emotional gesture from the star was appreciated by the audience with a deafening cheer and applause, which continued until Rock kissed Nicks on the cheek and slowly walked off the stage.

Nicks later told The Oakland Press that the moment when Rock came up on the stage was "an unforgettable moment."

He further explained about the kind of connection she shared with the rock star. “I have known Kid since 2001 — and we have had a very special friendship ever since," she revealed to the source.

She also admitted that she and Rock could "relate on many levels." Behind the eccentric and flamboyant personality of his, lied "the most amazing person," she added. They even joked that if Nicks had ever had a child, it would have been Rock.

Meanwhile, Rock revealed to the source what he had whispered in Nicks' ears while he held her in a tight embrace. "I told Stevie when I surprised her that her security was not very good - joking of course," the source quoted him as saying.
