As expected, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot before famous well-wishers.

Celebrities from different fields gathered during the highly-awaited wedding on May 19, 2018, as reported by Forbes.

Many of the well-known attendees are the newly-weds couple's closest friends. They include Amal and George Clooney, Victoria and David Beckham, Priyanka Chopra and Serena Williams.

George and Amal, who tied the knot in 2014, live in nearby Berkshire. Meghan and Amal, a human rights lawyer, were said to be connected by a mutual friend.

Many Hollywood stars flocked to the ceremony, including Idris Alba, James Corden and Oprah Winfrey.

Also spotted during the wedding was Ralph Lauren model and Prince Harry's polo-playing friend Nacho Figueras.

World-reknowned musicians also came to celebrate with the couple. They included Elton John, Joss Stone and James Blunt.

Of course, the whole Royal Family was also there, led by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Meghan, who rose to fame with the series Suits, received praises for opting for a simple yet elegant wedding gown designed by British designer for French fashion house Givenchy.

After the wedding rites, Meghan and Prince Harry joined their 600 wedding guests for a luncheon at St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle. It was a party hosted by the Queen.

Meghan, who is also a humanitarian advocate, had spent her Christmas with the Royal Family.

The future royal rose to fame for portraying Rachel Zane on the legal drama series, Suits. She starred on the show for seven seasons, from 2011 too 2017.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Meghan graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in theatre and international studies.

Meghan and Harry have been in a relationship since June 2016. The press began to report about their relationship in October 2016.

Meghan opened up about her relationship with Harry in a September 2017 interview.

Later that month, the pair made their first public appearance together at an official royal engagement at Invictus Games in Toronto, an event Harry has been spearheading in recent years.
