Al Green's daughter seems to be over the moon in photo with her husband while in Paris
Rubi Green, Al Green’s second eldest daughter, is living her best life as she takes some steps forward in her career as a gospel singer while celebrating her wedding anniversary in one of the most romantic cities in the world. She recently shared a series of photos from her trip to Paris with her husband, and they look so happy together.
Celebritist was lurking around Rubi Green’s Instagram account to see what the gospel singer and a daughter of legendary R&B singer Al Green has been up to, and we stumbled with a series of photos she shared while being on the other side of the pond.
Rubi is one of the three daughters that Al Green had from his marriage to Shirley Kyles, and she decided to follow his father’s steps into the music industry, becoming a promising gospel singer that has been taking the industry by storm since 2010.
Her uniqueness in the genre comes from the fact that she mixes hip-hop and other genres with gospel to enchant different audiences that would not be interested in gospel in the first place. In her journey, Rubi has been working with Dammo Farmer, a renowned bass player, and producer who happens to be her husband.
They dated for four years before he proposed in 2012 by surprising Rubi with the help of her dad, Al Green. Farmer took the stage in the middle of his father-in-law concert and asked Rubi to join him before declaring his undying love and kneeling in front of a live audience to pop the question. She said yes, of course.
Is not clear when exactly Rubi and Dammo officially tied the knot, but they seem to be enjoying the married life to its fullest, and they recently made a trip to Paris, France to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
The couple posed in front of the Eiffel Tower and Rubi seems to have enjoyed sightseeing the architecture of the city a lot. In one of the romantic selfies they took, she wrote a sincere reflection about love that probably reflects her relationship with Dammo that says:
“The only inconsistency in love should be falling deeper. Love is an action word.”
Rubi is glowing these days, and we can’t wait to see more of her in the gospel industry as she keeps on showing off her talent to the world with the support of her famous dad and her husband.
