Man dies of cancer, 2 months later his fiancee gets a beautiful ring

The woman could not fight back her emotions as she paid a heartbreaking tribute to her would-be husband on social media.

Danielle Cumberworth took to Facebook on October 10, 2017, to post a picture of the wedding ring that she received two months after her husband-to-be, Ashley Grant-Smith, 27, died of cancer.

Prior to his death, Grant-Smith had ordered the rings and was even panicking that they wouldn't arrive in time, Cumberworth wrote in a caption to the post. But they had arrived right on the day they were supposed to get married.

Cumberworth told Daily Mail that she picked up a parcel two months after Grant-Smith's demise and opened it in the car park to find an engagement ring from him.

"It was total surprise. I didn't cry, I laughed. He had not told me about it at all. It is a beautiful diamond ring in white gold," she further said to the online source.

In her Facebook post, Cumberworth wrote that he was in a relationship with Grant-Smith for around 2 years and she had a wonderful time with him.

Even when he was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, the two always found ways to make each other 'laugh everyday' and 'smile through the tears' and enjoy each second they had together.

She also commemorated Grant-Smith by writing that he was an inspiration to everyone - especially, her. 'I was so lucky to have you by my side for the past 2 years I'm so proud of you, more than you'll ever know...' she wrote in her Facebook post.

Further remembering how much Grant-Smith cared for her, Cumberworth shared about a time when he ignored the pain of his own intense chemo and walked all the way to the drug store to get some paracetamol for her stomach ache.
