Queen Latifah makes appearance in bright yellow coat and rain boots for TV show

Singer, actress, rapper, and producer Queen Latifah confessed that she had a wonderful night on board the Carnival Horizon and posted a photo to prove it.

The 48-year-old star took to her Instagram account to share that she and Philadelphia Eagles placekicker Jake Elliott were in a Lip Sync Battle that took place on May 23, on the Carnival Horizon Cruise.

In the photo, Latifah is seen wearing a big yellow raincoat and knee-high matching boots. She was in the middle of a group of dancers who were wearing either red or black outfits and had red umbrellas, as well.

Latifah captioned her post admitting that it had been the ‘battle of all battles’ but that she ended up being the winner.

The Lip Sync Battle was held on the same day that Latifah christened the new ship of Carnival Cruises Lines at the New York Cruise Ship terminal in Manhattan. Carnival’s new addition to their fleet is 133,500 tons and can hold about 3,960 passengers.

According to Travel Pulse, it is the second in Carnival’s Vista-class and the designers included many new amenities, such as a Dr. Seuss-inspired water park and a Teppanyaki restaurant.

One of the things that attracted more attention was the area they called Smokehouse Brewhouse, which is a barbecue eatery designed by Food Network star Guy Fieri. Apart from the food, the Smokehouse Brewhouse also offers craft beers created onboard.

Guests can also choose to go to the IMAX theatre, Seafood Shack, a New England-themed restaurant, Havana Bar, the spacious Family Harbor accommodations, and a Family Harbor Lounge.

The reason Carnival Cruises Lines chose Latifah as the godmother of their new ship was that, apart from being a famous musical and TV entertainer, she is a fan of cruises.

Latifah pointed out that cruising was the ‘coolest’ things in the world as all someone might need – food and things to have fun – is right there in one place.
