The star posted about the incident on Instagram. She was diagnosed with a form of cancer in April this year after thinking she had an infection.

On Tuesday, Abby Lee Miller, 51, revealed via Instagram that she is now recovering after undergoing emergency surgery. ‘I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok, just hiccups in my plans!’ the star wrote as part of her caption.

She also revealed that she was on a tight schedule and shooting two projects which she couldn’t wait to get to. Miller asked her fans to keep praying for her and thanked them for their well wishes.

The star recently began her third round of chemotherapy. In April, one day after undergoing emergency surgery for what was initially thought to be a spinal infection, she was preliminarily diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

‘After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh!’

This is cancer that develops in the lymphatic system. Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, an orthopedic spine surgeon at Cedar Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital, confirmed the diagnosis at the time.

He has been responsible for treating the star. Melamed added that they were going to get an oncologist involved in Miller’s treatment.

In April the doctor had also stated that they would have to figure out what the next steps were when it came to Miller getting chemotherapy, radiation or more spine surgery. It all depended on the type and sensitivity of tumor she had.

At the time Melamed had confessed that she would probably undergo chemotherapy or radiation. The doctor also noted that at that stage it was a preliminary diagnosis that pended on pathology and oncology results.
