Kate Spade's housekeeper's son breaks silence: 'My mom was one of the people that found her'
Designer Kate Spade was found dead in her New York apartment of an apparent suicide by her housekeeper
According to Police reports, designer Kate Spade was found dead in her Manhattan apartment on the 5th of June 2018.
Spade committed suicide by hanging herself with a red scarf around her neck tied to a doorknob, and this was how her housekeeper found her.
The housekeeper's son, Mark Roldan, 23, opened up about his mother's shock at the tragedy and his own relationship with Spade, reported PageSix.com.
Roldan described his mother's relationship with Spade as being very close, 'best friends', and revealed that she had even accompanied the designer on vacations.
“My mom was one of the people that found her. She is a little shaken, especially with trauma such as this."

Roldan went on to explain that his dream was to become a fashion designer and that he considered Spade his mentor. He said that she had encouraged him, and advised him to work hard so he could be as successful as she was.
Roldan shared a video in which he brings flowers to the designer on Mother's Day and shows Spade opening the door in her pajamas.
Spade's sister, Reta Brosnahan Saffo, said that she believed that her sister might have been suffering from untreated bipolar disorder; and her husband Andy Spade stated that the designer suffered from depression and anxiety for which she was undergoing treatment.
The Police has reported that the designer was alone at home at the time of her death and that her husband was not present, as it had been previously reported. Spade left a farewell note addressed to her only daughter, Frances Beatrix.
Kate Spade launched the hugely successful New York-based design company "Kate Spade Handbags" with her husband in 1993 and created the concept of the 'must-have-bag'.
