Jackson Odell's family shared emotional statement after his sudden death

Jackson Odell was an actor and singer-songwriter who was found dead last week. It’s been reported that no foul play was suspected in his death.

On Sunday, his family released a statement on Twitter confirming his passing. The statement was said to be the only one that the family would release about their loss.

As part of their communication, the Odell family wrote in their message that Jackson Odell, 20, had so much more to share. ‘Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew and loved him does so as well,’ the statement continued.

They added that they were trying to make sense of their loss. They concluded their message by saying they wouldn’t be making further announcements at this time.

On Friday morning, Odell was found unresponsive in his home in the San Fernando Valley. The actor was said to have been staying in a sober living home.

Police said that there were "no signs of foul play" in his passing. Odell was best known for playing Ari Caldwell on The Goldbergs.

‘The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell, on Friday. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul.’

He appeared in a total of eight episodes from 2013 to 2015. His career began at the age of 12 when he broke into the business with an appearance on ABC's Private Practice.

From there he worked his way up to a role in the movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. The actor also featured in some well-known shows.

He was featured in an episode of iCarly, one episode of Arrested Development and another episode of The Fosters. In Modern Family, he appeared in two episodes.

Odell was also a committed singer-songwriter. On YouTube, he uploaded videos of himself singing covers and originals, typically with a guitar in hand.

Recently he was beginning to work on writing soundtrack songs for movies. This year, six of his songs were featured in the movie Forever My Girl, and another one will be used in the upcoming film Redemption.
