Keegan-Michael Key got married in New York last week
The Key and Peele funnyman married Hollywood producer and director Elisa Pugliese at their home on June 8, hosting a black-tie reception with mostly family and few famous friends the following day.
47-year-old actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key got married for the second time one year after his divorce from Cynthia Blaise was finalized, and he is off the market once again after tying the knot with Elisa Pugliese.
As People reported, Key and Pugliese were joined by their close friends and relatives at One World Observatory, in the couple’s hometown, New York City, to celebrate their new status as husband and wife.
Following their discreet wedding ceremony, Key took to Twitter to share a photo of him and his new wife kissing in the street elegantly dressed, with Pugliese carrying a bouquet of orchids. ‘Best. Day. Ever,’ he simply captioned the image.
Pugliese, whose credits as a producer include Boys Meets Girl and Better Off Single, also used the social media to comment on the happy occasion, re-tweeting Key’s photo adding: ‘Dear Mr. Key, I love you more every day. Sincerely, Mrs. Key.’
Before getting married, the couple managed to keep their romance largely out of the public eye, only appearing together at few public events and red carpets. They announced their engagement in November 2017.
‘She shows me every day that each one of us has the ability to help make the world a better place. I’m the luckiest man ever,’ Key tweeted at the time of the announcement.
Among the celebrity guests for the wedding reception were Jordan Peel, Paul Rudd, Michael Strahan, Stephen Colbert, Cobie Smulders, Aasif Mandvi, Erika Christensen, Fred Savage, Taran Killam, Robert Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines.
Key had been previously married for 20 years, and he asked Pugliese to marry him the same month when his divorce was finalized, two years after he and Blaise separated. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
