Remember Kyle Barker from 'Living Single'? He is 59 and has taken a totally different career
T.C. Carson is making a change in his life and focusing on music
Actor T.C. Carson is best known for his portrayal of Kyle Barker in the sitcom Living Single. From 1993 to 1998 he was part of the cast of one of the most successful African American comedies ever and shared the limelight with Queen Latifah, Kim Coles, Erika Alexander, John Henton, Kim Fields and Mel Jackson.
He later lent his rich velvety voice to the character of Mace Windu on the Star Wars projects. From 2005 to 2013, Carson was the voice of Kratos in the God of War video game series.
Carson, 59, has moved from Los Angeles California to Atlanta Georgia for the sole purpose of pursuing his new career: Music, reported OldSchoolMusic.
This is a return to an old passion, since Carson started his career back in the 80s performing in musicals such as The Wiz, Dreamgirls, and Ain't Misbehavin'.
Carson has formed a band in Atlanta called 'TC Carson' with two musicians who play keyboards and base while he provides the vocals for their smooth classic jazz and blues sound. The band is on tour and will be playing from June to September in various venues throughout the South.
Carson admitted in an interview that he had a celebrity crush on pop star Janet Jackson, but he is committed to 'Living Single' and has declared that he wants to focus all his energy on his career. Carson has always been extraordinarily discreet and kept his personal life out of the limelight.
In 2000 Carson released his first solo album 'Truth,' and his second album 'Live in Beverly Hills' came out in 2014. Both albums were received with enthusiasm by the critics, but the independent label Carson chose to record with did not reach the desired audiences or sales figures.
Always admired for his elegance and ultra-cool image, Carson was on the cover of STS Entertainment and Fashion Magazine in 2016.
