Rosie O’Donnell's pregnant daughter files for divorce after nearly two years of marriage
Chelsea O’Donnell, adopted daughter of Rosie O’Donnell, filed for divorce from her husband of almost two years.
Us Weekly confirmed that Chelsea, who is currently pregnant, went to Marinette County, Wisconsin on April 19th to file the documents after deciding to end her marriage with Nick Alliegro.
The pair first met at a Dunkin’ Donuts in November 2015 and were secretly married in New York at Islip Town Hall in July 2016.
Prior to the news making headlines, Chelsea’s current boyfriend named Jacob Bourassa posted a Facebook status announcing that she is pregnant with his child.
Deanna Micoley, Chelsea’s biological mother, commented on the post stating that she is proud of her daughter and that Chelsea is going to be a ‘great mommy.’
In September 2017, Chelsea previously announced that she was expecting a child with then-husband Alliegro.
Although, Rosie’s daughter did not give any further details and it there have been no current updates in terms of what happened with that pregnancy.
As for Rosie and Chelsea’s relationship, they have been estranged for quite some time.
In 2015, the former View co-host tweeted that Chelsea, who was a teen at the time, ran away from their New York home.
Two weeks later, Chelsea was found with a man she met on a dating app in New Jersey.
When Chelsea turned 18, she decided to move in with her biological mother in Wisconsin.
While Us Weekly reported that Rosie and Chelsea have not reconnected since then, Page Six suggested that Rosie’s rep confirmed the pair have decided to patch things up.
In a candid interview with mental health advocate and specialist Mark Henick, 56-year old Rosie spoke about her 20-year-old adopted daughter’s new relationship.
Rosie shared that Chelsea is doing much better now and confirmed that they are reconnecting.
“She’s in a relationship that seems to be positive and not dangerous anymore, which is a huge plus,” she added.
