John Travolta teaches Jimmy Fallon his famous hip-trust dance from 'Grease'
The 64-year-old actor, John Travolta, rose to fame in the seventies after portraying Danny in the iconic film, Grease. His dance moves have been immortalized.
Travolta was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and taught the talk-show host one of his most famous dance moves from the famous film.
The Swordfish actor explained that dancing had always been a large part of his life. The four corners dance was one of the moves he grew up with.
While filming Grease, he convinced the choreographer to include the moves for the film's final dance routine, when the seniors of the fictional Rydell High school celebrated their newfound freedom.
The film celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, which would explain why Travolta was feeling sentimental about his time on the film set.
Olivia Newton-John also reminisced about the film earlier this year; when she told People that she still has the skintight lycra pants her character, Sandy, wore during the film's final scene.
“It was the ’70s those pants were from the ’50s. They were old already, and the zipper was gone, so they stitched me in. Of course, you can imagine: I’d have to pee, [so] they had to unpick it and stitch me up again!”
Olivia Newton-John, People, January 29, 2018.
She's had the pants for 40 years but decided to auction them off instead. The money will go towards her hospital, the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.
She also told People that Travolta talked her into the taking the part and that she wasn't sure if she wanted the role.
If it was not for Travolta, she would never have been part of the iconic film! For more details about your favorite stars, follow us on Twitter, at AmoMama USA.
