'DWTS' star Jenna Johnson debuts gorgeous engagement ring from fiancé

Val Chmerkovskiy, the famous professional dancer from Dancing With The Stars, shared a picture of his fianceé, Jenna Johnson, wearing her engagement ring.

The couple announced that they were engaged on Thursday, June 14, 2018, through a couple of photos depicting Chmerkovskiy proposing to Johnson in Venice, Italy.

The photo of the jewelry piece was revealed the following day on Instagram, portraying a very happy Johnson showing off the beautiful diamond ring to the camera.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Chmerkovskiy confessed that he always dreamed of proposing to the woman he loved in Venice, especially after visiting it when he was 17 years old.

Young Chmerkovskiy found Venice to be the 'most romantic place in the world,' so, 15 years later, he kept his promise and went back to surprise the woman he plans to spend the rest of his life with.

In the picture, Chmerkovskiy tagged Jacob & Co, a company that, according to their website, specializes in providing 'revolutionary timepieces and jewelry for men and women who demand superb craftsmanship.'

The ring designed by Jacob & Co has a cushion cut diamond decorated with a halo of smaller diamonds and was the focal point of the photo taken by Chmerkovskiy at a waterfront restaurant in Venice.

The couple started dating back in 2015, but their relationship wasn't a steady one and they got separated and back together a few times. In 2017, they reunited for good.

Johnson recently won her first Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing With The Stars by performing alongside her partner, Adam Rippon, so the year has been quite a happy one for the 24-year-old.

Chmerkovskiy didn't participate in the recent edition of the show due to being on tour with his older brother, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd.
