'American Idol' Scotty McCreery's wedding photos have been released

Country singer Scotty McCreery finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and the photos of their wedding have been unveiled.

McCreery, who gained fame after joining American Idol, exchanged vows with his girlfriend of six years Gabi Dugal.

The wedding was held at Twickenham House & Hall in the mountains of North Carolina on June 15th.

In an exclusive report by People, the pair invited about 200 of their close friends and family as guests.

Talking to the media outlet, McCreery said prior to the wedding, “We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays.”

He went on to say that he supports Dugal in her dreams just like how she supports him in his.

The pair also shared exclusive photos of their wedding to the said publication.

The ceremony was officiated by the country singer’s childhood pastor. During the wedding, the pair exchanged personalized wedding vows.

As for the wedding gown, Dugal wore an elegant bridal dress made my Morilee.

At the reception, the couple, who are both 24 years old, had their first dance to Can’t Help Falling in Love by the late Elvis Presley.

The guests watched the couple as they enjoyed their meals consisting of Cajun dishes, steak, and pasta. For their cake, they opted for pies rather than to have the usual multi-layered dessert.

Dugal, who is a nurse at the Duke University Hospital, told People that she wanted a classic wedding, which was why she stuck with the black, white, and gold color scheme.

“I went with greenery and white flowers, some lanterns and candle votives [for a] rustic feel. We fell in love with the mountains during the summertime [when Scotty proposed], and our [venue] is like a little castle in the woods,” she explained.

The pair went to Tahiti on June 19th for their honeymoon and afterward will head back to Seattle to move into their new home as husband and wife.

Previously, McCreery released a single called This Is It and it is about the pair’s love story and how he proposed to his beloved wife.
