Vanessa Williams melts hearts with throwback pic of ex-husband Rick Fox holding their daughter

Despite being separated for almost 15 years, Vanessa Williams shared an adorable throwback picture of her ex-husband Rick Fox holding their daughter when she was younger.

Vanessa Williams made sure to greet her ex-husband a happy father’s day by posting an adorable photograph of him and their daughter Sasha. While things might have not ended up in their favour, the superstar made sure to pay tribute to her ex-husband through an Instagram post.

Vanessa’s athlete ex-husband filed for divorce in 2004 after being estranged from his wife for more than 18 months prior to their divorce. While the two have agreed to separate and did not release any details regarding why they were getting divorced, the parents have made it clear that their main focus was always going to be on their daughter Sasha, who is now 18 years old.

The couple married one another in a simple and private ceremony on a Caribbean island in 1999, and they followed it up with a New York City church wedding on the same year. Some insiders from People have claimed that the split was not surprising at all, especially since they spent their marriage “living on opposite coasts”. During their relationship, Fox was busy traveling from Los Angeles to Boston to play for different NBA teams, while Williams had stayed put in their New York residence.

A good 11 years after their divorce, Vanessa Williams got married again, this time to Jim Skrip. Despite her marriage, she continues to pay tribute to Rick, who has been a huge part of her life. Her Instagram post showed a baby Sasha being carried by Jim as she donned a red and white striped peplum swimsuit.

Her caption read: “Happy Father’s Day [Rick]. Thanks for 18 years of this little one.”.

Prior to her marriage with the NBA player, she was also once married to Ramon Hervey II for ten years. The ex-couple shared three children together, Melanie, Jillian, and Devin. The actress also made sure to greet the father of her three children for father’s day, saying: “Happy Father’s Day to [Ramon] for giving me 3 loves of my lives.”.

Vanessa Williams is admirable for her cordial relationships with her ex-husbands, even sharing their children’s milestones with one another, making it easy for their children to adjust to a blended family.
