Mike Tyson's ex Robin Givens melts hearts with photo of grown-up son and his white dad
Actress and model Robin Givens, who was married to former boxer Mike Tyson, shared a photo of her son next to his father, Murphy Jensen, on Father’s Day.
The image portrayed one of the actress’ children, William, next to his father and Robin’s ex-partner, former tennis player Murphy Jensen. The pair was posing next to a boat with four fishes in front of them, suggesting that they caught them.
In the caption, Robin pointed out that she didn’t grow up with a father and that she understood how important a father-son relationship was, even if it was from a different perspective.
Finally, Robin added that she was grateful because William has the best parent ever. She tagged Murphy and William on her post and wished her ex-partner a happy Father’s Day.
As soon as she uploaded that photo, her fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Instagram user Kimberly Russell, who confessed not being surprised by Murphy being a great father as Robin picked him.
Another Instagram user, Elenie Reese, chimed in saying that William was also lucky to have a mother who is willing to share such a ‘beautiful truth,’ implying that not many people would speak about growing up without a father.
Robin married Tyson in 1988. However, their relationship started deteriorating after she suffered a miscarriage a few months later, what ultimately led to their divorce in 1989, reported People.
Later, in 1993, she adopted her first son, Michael. William is Robin’s second son and the only one she conceived naturally. He was born in 1999, while the actress was in a relationship with Murphy, reported Ask Men.
When Murphy retired from the tennis courts, he focused most of his time in the company WEconnect, which is a Healthcare Information Technology company with a platform designed for addiction recovery.
One of the principal reasons why he decided to co-found that company is that Murphy himself had some addiction problems in the past. Thankfully for him and his family, he is a sober man.
